What are Accelerated Mobile Pages?

Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) are web pages built to render quickly on a mobile device. There are three components to AMPs.

The first is AMP HTML. It is similar to basic HTML, but is extended with custom AMP properties.

The second is the AMP javascript library. The AMP JS library manages resources and ensures that all page elements are able to load quickly and won’t block each other from rendering.

The last component is the Google AMP Cache, which is a proxy-based system that allows for delivery of all AMPs. The cache has a built in validation system that guarantees all cached pages will work.
